Meet the members of the secret Medusa’s League, four detectives who live in Classical Greece and who are out to solve mysteries wherever they find them.
There’s Thrax, a young slave owned by a dreadful Athenian poet called Master Ariston who has a strange knack for figuring things out. There’s his best friend Nico, a budding scribe who wants to write exciting stories. The third member of the group is fesity Fotini, a rich girl who is training to become a priestess. And the fourth is her handmaiden Gaia, an Egyptian slave who looks cute and cuddly but will always rise to the challenge when her friends’ lives are in danger.
When Thrax and Nico travel with their master to Corinth where he is performing at a high society wedding, they are looking forward to exploring the city. But when a priceless vase is smashed in the bride’s house, Thrax's special skills might just come in useful. Can the boys prove that the slave girl Gaia is innocent, and discover what the mysterious mark of the cyclops mean?
